Whatever is True

Where are you God?

Why do you hide yourself from me?

Speak to me God…

WHY DO You stand afar off, O Lord? Why do You hide Yourself, [veiling Your eyes] in times of trouble (distress and desperation)?                Psalm 10:1 AMPC

But God does not hide Himself to tease us.  He loves us.  He desires that we come to full salvation, that we Believe, that we can be with Him forever.

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever Believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.  John 3:16 AMPC

For,

…without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] Believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].  Hebrews 11:6 AMPC

[Christ, the Messiah] is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament, covenant), so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance–since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the [old] first agreement. Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all, Will Appear a Second Time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but To Bring to Full Salvation Those Who Are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] Waiting for and Expecting Him. Hebrews 9:15, 28 AMPC

Faith is the bridge that must be built and hope is the cement of the steps upward.

Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) By Faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult In our Hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God. Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and Triumph In Our Troubles and Rejoice In Our Sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. Such Hope Never Disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.  Romans 5:2-5 AMPC

Yes, He

…will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. My soul yearns for You [O Lord] in the night, yes, my spirit within me seeks You earnestly; for [only] when Your judgments are in the earth will the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God).  Isaiah 26:3, 9 AMPC

Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel,

To All the Captives Whom I have Caused to be Carried Into Exile from Jerusalem to Babylon:

Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. [Deut. 4:29-30.] I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive. Jeremiah 29:4, 12-14 AMPC

Yes, let it be so,

Without having seen Him, you love Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, You Believe in Him and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glorious (triumphant, heavenly) joy. [At the same time] you receive The Result (outcome, consummation) of your faith, The Salvation of Your Souls.  1 Peter 1:8-9 AMPC

UNTO YOU, O Lord, do I bring my life. Yes, let none who trust and wait hopefully and look for You be put to shame or be disappointed; let them be ashamed who forsake the right or deal treacherously without cause. Guide me in Your truth and faithfulness and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You [You only and altogether] do I wait [expectantly] all the day long. Good and upright is the Lord; therefore will He instruct sinners in [His] way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and steadfast love, even truth and faithfulness are they for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning. [John 7:17; 15:15.]  Psalm 25:1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 14 AMPC

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their minds, even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding, and engrave them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. When God speaks of a new [covenant or agreement], He makes the first one obsolete (out of use). And what is obsolete (out of use and annulled because of age) is ripe for disappearance and to be dispensed with altogether.  Hebrews 8:10, 13 AMPC

So, therefore, it is not by what you do but by faith alone that you are saved.  Be imitators of those who have gone before you on the Path.  Work out your salvation with reverence and worship.

But we do [strongly and earnestly] desire for each of you to show the same diligence and sincerity [all the way through] in realizing and enjoying the full assurance and development of [your] hope until the end, In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises.  Hebrews 6:11-12

For by a single offering Jesus has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy. And since we have [such] a great and wonderful and noble Priest [Who rules] over the house of God, Let us all come forward and draw near with true (honest and sincere) hearts in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith (by that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), having our hearts sprinkled and purified from a guilty (evil) conscience and our bodies cleansed with pure water. So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him. [Hab. 2:3, 4.] But our way is not that of those who draw back to eternal misery (perdition) and are utterly destroyed, but we are of those who believe [who cleave to and trust in and rely on God through Jesus Christ, the Messiah] and by faith preserve the soul.                      Hebrews 10:14, 21-23, 38-39 AMPC

And so,

Faith, Hope, Love abide [faith–conviction and belief respecting man’s relation to God and divine things; hope–joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love–true affection for God and man, growing out of God’s love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.   1 Corinthians 13:13 AMPC
