What do you speak toward an enemy?
And they answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus [as your personal Savior and entrust yourself to Him] and you and your household [if they also believe].
And they spoke the word of the Lord [concerning eternal salvation through faith in Christ] to him (the jailer) and to all who were in his house. Acts 16: 31-32
This is true:. There is virtue and excellence in loving an enemy. There are no enemies in Heaven only delivered souls.
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? [Deut. 10:12, 13.] Micah 6:8 AMPC
O give thanks to the God of gods, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever. O give thanks to the Lord of Lords, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever– To Him Who alone does great wonders, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever; To Him Who by wisdom and understanding made the heavens, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever; Psalm 136: 2-5
Therefore, we
…love the Lord (our) God and keep His charge, His statutes, His precepts, and His commandments always…
For to him who has shown no mercy the judgment [will be] merciless, but mercy [full of glad confidence] exults victoriously over judgment. James 2:13 AMPC
So,
…know this day–for I am not speaking to your children who have not [personally] known and seen it–the instruction and discipline of the Lord your God: His greatness, His mighty hand, and His outstretched arm;
For it was He,
He shook off and overthrew Pharaoh and his host into the Red Sea, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever; Psalm 136:15 AMPC
Selah (calmly think on that)
His signs and His deeds which He did in Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt and to all his land; And what He did to the army of Egypt, to their horses and chariots, how He made the waters of the Red Sea flow over them as they pursued you, and how the Lord has destroyed them to this day; Deuteronomy 11: 3-4
You see there was no great escape of human design. It was, by God and God alone, that the chains fell off and He walked them out as only God can.
Therefore,
…keep all the commandments which (He) command(s) you today, that you may be strong and go in and possess the land which you go across [the Jordan] to possess, And that you may live long in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey. A land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always upon it from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. And if you will diligently heed My commandments which I command you this day–to love the Lord your God and to serve Him with all your [mind and] heart and with your entire being– I will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. And I will give grass in your fields for your cattle, that you may eat and be full. Deuteronomy 11:8-9, 12-14
Take heed (then) to yourselves, lest your [minds and] hearts be deceived and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them, And the Lord’s anger be kindled against you, …Deuteronomy 11:16
That kind of man feeds on ashes [and finds his satisfaction in ashes]! A deluded mind has led him astray, so that he cannot release and save himself, or ask, Is not [this thing I am holding] in my right hand a lie? Remember these things [earnestly], O Jacob, O Israel, for you are My servant! I formed you, you are My servant; O Israel, you shall not be forgotten by Me. Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it; shout, you depths of the earth; break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and He glorifies Himself in Israel. Isaiah 44:20-21, 23 AMPC
Yes, therefore,
…lay up these My words in your [minds and] hearts and in your [entire] being, and bind them for a sign upon your hands and as forehead bands between your eyes. And you shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house and on your gates, That your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth. For if you diligently keep all this commandment which I command you to do, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, and to cleave to Him– Then the Lord will drive out all these nations before you, and you shall dispossess nations greater and mightier than you. Deuteronomy 11:18-23 AMPC
Giving all praise to Him who is merciful,
To Him Who [earnestly] remembered us in our low estate and imprinted us [on His heart], for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever; And rescued us from our enemies, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever; Psalm 136:2-5, 23-24 AMPC
For,
He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit, Which He poured out [so] richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. [And He did it in order] that we might be justified by His grace (by His favor, wholly undeserved), [that we might be acknowledged and counted as conformed to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action], and that we might become heirs of eternal life according to [our] hope. Titus 3:5-7 AMPC
