Let Go Let God:. A Day When MAN Submits, One to Another, Out of Reverence to God, and With Corporate Worship and Praise Cry to God Together for the Victory

Then Abner called to Joab, Shall the sword devour forever? Do you not know that bitterness will be the result? How long will it be then before you bid the people to stop pursuing their brethren?    2 Samuel 2:26 AMPC

But,

THERE WAS a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. But David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker. While there was war between the houses of Saul and David, Abner was making himself strong in the house of Saul.  2 Samuel 3:1

But then Abner became angry at the words of Ish-bosheth, the son of Saul, and so Abner decided to align himself with David.

Then Abner was very angry at the words of Ish-bosheth and said,…May God do so to Abner, and more also, if I do not do for David what the Lord has sworn to him, to transfer the kingdom from the house of Saul and set the throne of David over Israel and Judah from Dan to Beersheba. And Abner sent messengers to David where he was [at Hebron], saying, Whose is the land? Make your league with me, and my hand shall be with you to bring all Israel over to you. Abner said to David, I will go and gather all Israel to my Lord the king, that they may make a league with you, and that you may reign over all that your heart desires.

So then,

… David sent Abner away in peace.

But,

When Joab and all the army with him had come, it was told to Joab, Abner son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away, and he is gone in peace. Then Joab came to the king and said, What have you done? Behold, Abner came to you. Why is it you have sent him away and he is quite gone? You know that Abner son of Ner came to deceive you and to know your going out and coming in and all you are doing. When Joab came from seeing David, he sent messengers after Abner, and they brought him back from the well of Sirah; but David did not know it. And when Abner returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside to the center of the gate to speak to him privately, and there he smote Abner in the abdomen, so that he died to avenge the blood of Asahel, Joab’s brother. And the king lamented over Abner and said, Should Abner die as a fool dies? Your hands were not bound or your feet put into fetters; as a man falls before wicked men, so you fell. And all the people wept again over him. King David said to his servants, Do you not know that a prince and a great man has fallen this day in Israel? And I am this day weak, though anointed [but not crowned] king; these sons of Zeruiah are too hard for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his wickedness!  2 Samuel 3:1, 6, 8-10, 12, 21, 23-27, 33-34, 38-39 AMPC

Hear this, there is a better way.

BEHOLD, HOW good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment poured on the head, that ran down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron [the first high priest], that came down upon the collar and skirts of his garments [consecrating the whole body]. [Exod. 30:25, 30.] It is like the dew of [lofty] Mount Hermon and the dew that comes on the hills of Zion; for there the Lord has commanded the blessing, even life forevermore [upon the high and the lowly].  Psalm 133:1-3 AMPC

For we have come to know God – His goodness, His trustworthiness – that we can be confident in Him, entrusting all things to Him.

The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower. [Heb. 2:13.] I will call upon the Lord, Who is to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. [Rev. 5:12.] In my distress [when seemingly closed in] I called upon the Lord and cried to my God; He heard my voice out of His temple (heavenly dwelling place), and my cry came before Him, into His [very] ears. They confronted and came upon me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my stay and support. He brought me forth also into a large place; He was delivering me because He was pleased with me and delighted in me. For You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine; the Lord my God illumines my darkness. For by You I can run through a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him. For who is God except the Lord? Or who is the Rock save our God, The God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect? He makes my feet like hinds’ feet [able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble]; He sets me securely upon my high places. He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your right hand has held me up; Your gentleness and condescension have made me great. Foreigners lost heart and came trembling out of their caves or strongholds. The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted, The God Who avenges me and subdues peoples under me, Therefore will I give thanks and extol You, O Lord, among the nations, and sing praises to Your name. [Rom. 15:9.] Great deliverances and triumphs gives He to His king; and He shows mercy and steadfast love to His anointed, to David and his offspring forever. [II Sam. 22:2-51.]  Psalm 18:1-3, 6, 18-19, 28-35, 45-47, 49-50 AMPC

Oh what a day when MAN submits, one to another, out of reverence to God, and instead of warring with each other, they war on bended knees in worship and praise and adoration of their most holy God!

Barak (verb; prim root) to kneel; by impl. To bless God (as an act of adoration)

O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and supplication].            Psalm 95:6 AMPC

For, it is with humble praise and adoration in worship that we fight and have the victory.

BLESSED BE the Lord, my Rock and my keen and firm Strength, Who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight–         Psalm 144:1 AMPC
