There is no time to waste! Will you hold the umbrella? … from lollygagging to making a way
Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert righteousness?Job 8:3 AMPC
You who turn justice into [the bitterness of] wormwood and cast righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God) down to the ground, Seek Him Who made the [cluster of stars called] Pleiades and [the constellation] Orion, Who turns the shadow of death or deep darkness into the morning and darkens the day into night, Who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the face of the earth–the Lord is His name– Amos 5:7-8 AMPC
For, God’s justice is not sourced in judgement but in His Hesed, His love. Therefore, He,
…God does not take away life, but devises means so that he who is banished may not be an utter outcast from Him. 2 Samuel 14:14 AMPC
For the word of the Lord is right; and all His work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the loving-kindness of the Lord. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. Let Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion to our waiting and hoping for You. Psalm 33:4-5, 9, 22 AMPC
In our waiting, in our long suffering, we participate in the suffering of Christ, and in so doing, make way for God’s justice to,
run down like waters and righteousness as a mighty and ever-flowing stream. Amos 5:24 AMPC
Go then, make a way,
…Arise, journey on before the people, that they may go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers to give to them. And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you but [reverently] to fear the Lord your God, [that is] to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with your entire being. Your fathers went down to Egypt seventy persons in all, and now the Lord your God has made you as the stars of the heavens for multitude. Deuteronomy 10:11-12, 22 AMPC
But the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting upon those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, and His righteousness is to children’s children–[Deut. 10:12.] To such as keep His covenant [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it] and to those who [earnestly] remember His commandments to do them [imprinting them on their hearts]. The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, all you His hosts, you His ministers who do His pleasure. Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion; bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul! Psalm 103:17-22 AMPC
“Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place. “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. Daniel 9:24-25 NIV
“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. Daniel 12:1-3 NIV
