The God of the Heavens and the Earth

…who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness,  Malachi 3:2-3 NIV

Listen then, for,

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.

Remove the dross from the silver, and a silversmith can produce a vessel; remove wicked officials from the king’s presence, and his throne will be established through righteousness.              Proverbs 25:2, 4-5 NIV

For, God commands,

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery… “You shall have no other gods before me. Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.  Exodus 20:2-3, 23 NIV

Remember then,

Remember him—before the silver cord is severed, and the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, and the wheel broken at the well, and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.  Ecclesiastes 12:6-7, 13-14 NIV
