Whatever is True

Spouting Off:  A Spring of Righteousness

Once it was asked,

Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people restored? [Because Zion no longer enjoyed the presence of the Great Physician!] [Exod. 15:26.]  Jeremiah 8:22 AMPC

Yet now, joyfully, joyfully we have found,

HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].  Psalm 91:1 AMPC

Yes,

He who walks uprightly walks securely, but he who takes a crooked way shall be found out and punished. The mouth of the [uncompromisingly] righteous man is a well of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.  Proverbs 10:9, 11 AMPC

Living water spouts out crystal clear as a the fountain of life,

Our iniquities, our secret heart and its sins [which we would so like to conceal even from ourselves], You have set in the [revealing] light of Your countenance…(therefore,) … let the beauty and delightfulness and favor of the Lord our God be upon us; confirm and establish the work of our hands–yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it.  Psalm 90:8, 17 AMPC

For it is

the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a thing. [Deut. 29:29; Rom. 11:33.] Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth [the material for] a vessel for the silversmith [to work up]. [II Tim. 2:21.]      Proverbs 25:2, 4 AMPC

For,

On that day when, as my Gospel proclaims, God by Jesus Christ will judge men in regard to the things which they conceal (their hidden thoughts). [Eccl. 12:14.]  Romans 2:16 AMPC

Know,

The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.  Exodus 14:14 AMPC

For behold, God’s messengers,

..kept carrying out the sick into the streets and placing them on couches and sleeping pads, [in the hope] that as Peter passed by, at least his shadow might fall on some of them. And the people gathered also from the towns and hamlets around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those troubled with foul spirits, and they were all cured.  Acts 5:15-16 AMPC

And, despite opposition, praise God,

We found the prison quite safely locked up and the guards were on duty outside the doors, but when we opened [it], we found no one on the inside. Now when the military leader of the temple area and the chief priests heard these facts, they were much perplexed and thoroughly at a loss about them, wondering into what this might GROW…For if this doctrine or purpose or undertaking or movement is of human origin, it will fail (be overthrown and come to nothing); But if it is of God, you will not be able to stop or overthrow or destroy them; you might even be found fighting against God! (so)… [in spite of the threats] they never ceased for a single day, both in the temple area and at home, to teach and to proclaim the good news (Gospel) of Jesus [as] the Christ (the Messiah).  Acts 5:23-24, 38-39, 42 AMPC

O GIVE thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever! Out of my distress I called upon the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free and in a large place. The Lord is my Strength and Song; and He has become my Salvation. This is the gate of the Lord; the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall enter through it. [Ps. 24:7.] Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; we bless you from the house of the Lord [you who come into His sanctuary under His guardianship]. [Mark 11:9, 10.] The Lord is God, Who has shown and given us light [He has illuminated us with grace, freedom, and joy]. Decorate the festival with leafy boughs and bind the sacrifices to be offered with thick cords [all over the priest’s court, right up] to the horns of the altar. O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.   Psalm 118:1, 5, 14, 20, 26-27, 29 AMPC
