“But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” …”

“What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.  And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.”  1 Corinthians 15:35-38, 42-44, 49 NIV

“For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”  But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”  I Corinthians 15:53-54

Yes,

Our heavenly body will be one in which our souls will be clothed with a garment of salvation, made possible by the atoning sacrifice of Jesus and the covering of His  blood as a robe of righteousness.

Glory!  Glory!  as Isaiah testifies

“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as [surely as] the earth brings forth its shoots, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring forth, so [surely] the Lord God will cause rightness and justice and praise to spring forth before all the nations [through the self-fulfilling power of His word].”  Isaiah 61:10-11 AMPC

We then  will enter into the Holy City  as in a processional with Jesus Himself illuminating us,  clothing us with Himself, as light bearers, in the image and likeness of God!

There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever….Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.  Revelation 22:5, 14 NIV
