Whatever is True

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Psalms 127:3 NIV

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.  Ephesians 6:4 NIV

For,

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”    Matthew 19:14 NIV

Do not doubt,

The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways, and the good rewarded for theirs. Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge. When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous seek refuge in God. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns ANY people. Proverbs 14:14, 26, 32, 34 NIV

For here is what we know,

Hear this, you elders; listen, all who live in the land. Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your ancestors? Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation. What the locust swarm has left the great locusts have eaten; what the great locusts have left the young locusts have eaten; what the young locusts have left other locusts have eaten. A nation has invaded my land, a mighty army without number; it has the teeth of a lion, the fangs of a lioness. It has laid waste my vines and ruined my fig trees. It has stripped off their bark and thrown it away, leaving their branches white.                    Joel 1:2-4, 6-7 NIV

So, what did we do?

(We) lift(ed) up (our) eyes to the mountains— (for) where does (our) help come from? (Our)help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.  Psalms 121:1-2 NIV

Yes, God says and promises,

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” At this I  awoke and looked around. My sleep had been pleasant to me.   Jeremiah 31: 25

Yes, remember, with each revolution

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.                 Romans 8:15-24, 28-31, 34 NIV

So, it’s true

the days are coming (and were here) declares the Lord…

“when I will plant the kingdoms of Israel and Judah with the offspring of people and of animals. Just as I watched over them to uproot and tear down, and to overthrow, destroy and bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant,” declares the Lord. “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.  Jeremiah 31:25-28, 33 NIV

Thanks be to God, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and for this planting of children.
